I am planning a conversion for my old moped into a speedy electric vehicle. This conversion project may be the basis for my final ECE master’s degree (research on electric vehicle technologies).
I have provisions for wiring, mounting, etc.
I would just like to know what suppliers or brands are good for series-field DC motors, DC motor controllers, and batteries.
Either links or sales contact informations will do. Thanks.

I build electric bikes and have two already finished. My prototype twin motor goes over 50mph (top speed down hill in trials so far) and has a 15 speed drive train with a top end ration of 4:1
I used Wilderness energy hub motors and spent a lot of time hunting for them from various sources but eventually got them on EBay. Hub motors are out there and available in kits that include the controllers and lead acid batteries for about $400.

Find and attend an EAA Chapter or EV organization near you listed on the EAA site (there are several in Canada).
